collection. collaboration. community.
Sarah Benken is the founder and visionary for the KNOW Book + Tribe. Her mission is to empower women who break glass ceilings in their respective fields. She’s been a business owner for more than ten years, teaches CEO classes to pregnant teens, works with women through ministries; all while raising her 21 and 10-year-old children. Sarah has always been enchanted by women who break the mold, even while working in male dominated fields. She believes in bringing women together to live out her personal, and KNOW Tribe manta, lift and rise. She’s an organizational freak, obsessed with details and all things glittery. She looks forward to bringing the KNOW Tribe movement to a city near you!
Launched in 2017, The KNOW Book + Tribe started as a way to bring more attention to dynamic women doing remarkable things in the Phoenix metro. We knew there were an outstanding number of women impacting the community and making big strides in their industries. Our goal was to get those women from behind their computer screens and into the public eye. Thus, we created the KNOW Book, a carefully curated publication that would feature vision-led women in a glamorous and authentic style.
As the momentum grew and we recognized the need for more, we launched our Tribe around the women featured in our KNOW Book. Our mix & mingles soon ensued and we witnessed incredible things happening. We saw our women doing business with each other, creating friendships, supporting each other, collaborating on projects together and so much more. What started as a fun project to spotlight women, has turned into a full-blown movement. The KNOW Book + Tribe has expanded beyond its birthplace of Phoenix, Arizona and its aim is to launch in every major city across the United States and Canada.
And There’s More.
Our creator, Sarah Benken has opened the Tribe to include all women business owners and leaders in need of more: more community, more authentic relationships, more connection, really just plain more. Now, regardless of the phase of business or career level, you can attend a Tribe event or join our Societe and become aligned with our mission to uplift and support other women.
Our Mantra: Lift & Rise
It’s a vetted guide that highlights dynamic women that are often under-the-radar, behind-the-scenes, and are busy perfecting their craft. It is a diverse collection of women from all walks of life, industries, ages, and backgrounds.
It’s a casual place where high-level, like-minded women come together to create and foster relationships. There are absolutely no mean girls allowed. We are a sisterhood.

KNOW Book director
After 15 successful years in the medical sales industry, Julie Tingley decided to stay home with her two little girls. Her passion to celebrate women from every industry and at every life-stage grew after receiving professional pushback regarding her career absence after the birth of her first daughter. Setting the example of female empowerment for both girls became the driving force that motivated this mother to introduce The KNOW Book + Tribe to Tampa Bay and beyond.

Arden McLaughlin is a publicist by trade and storyteller at heart. She started Definita: Publicity & Marketing with the purpose to lift people up into their next level of greatness through the power of owning and walking in their best story. She specializes in authors launching new books and platforms, and lifestyle brands with an empowerment mission. When she isn’t working, she’s working out at some of the best fitness studios on Charlotte and cheering for the University of North Carolina Tar Heels. She believes her story is one of growth, love, and joy which is why she joined the KNOW Tribe. The best way to continue to be a better woman is to surround yourself with the best women you can. In her opinion, the KNOW Tribe embodies the best of the best.
Arden hails from Mooresville, NC; a hop, skip, and a jump from her now Charlotte home, but a world away. She believes her small town virtues, plus hard-working parents, helped her become the shero leader of so many women today. She cannot wait to lead these women and grow nationally with this tribe.
